"Graft" as a "Welder"
Graft Beard Company are here and they want to take the throne as one of the best small batch UK beard companies. In order to do this then they have some very big competition but has Max put in the Graft to achieve this goal?
Starting off with the first oil to be reviewed, we put underneath our microscope "Welder"
Welder consists of Jojoba, Fractionated Coconut, Argan and Vitamin E as its carrier oils. This combination makes a fantastic mixture of beard hair nourishment, reduced dryness, itchiness and dandruff with the bonus vitamin E supplement dripped into the mixture. It has a medium viscosity which enables it penetrate the beard very well with a good retention period for most of the day and best suited for a small / medium length beard.
The scent profile consists of Black Pepper, Cacao, Bergamot and Cinnamon. Graft has promised a powerful scent and they haven't disappointed. The cinnamon is the main power scent with softer undertones of the black pepper and bergamot. The sweeter bergamot aroma mixes well with the cinnamon giving it a warmth and the black pepper gives a subtle kick when applying as if your almost breaking the peppercorns yourself. Cacao is a new scent for me and its extremly interesting. It leaves a very faint chocolate aroma which is amazing when combined with the cinnamon however it brings a slight bitterness which bounces against the bergamot bringing the scent profile to another level. The mix of scents is stunning which shows a masterclass in oil mixes however to be overly critical I want a little more kick from the black pepper.
The scent profile shifts through the gears with the cinnamon lasting a solid 7+ hours which is up there with some of the best.
Max promised an oil with a kick and Graft delivered. If you like something which will power you through the day then look no further.
